International wedding in Copenhagen

Back in September, I helped Nenagh & Harry plan and execute their dream wedding in the heart of Copenhagen. After a few years living in the city, the couple wanted to create a celebration where their family and friends could experience all their favorite things about Copenhagen – and at the same time feel why the city means so much to them.

 Welcome event in the heart of Copenhagen

With the soul of Copenhagen as our focal point, we opened the three-day celebration with a canal cruise for guests. On board, they sailed past some of the city’s iconic monuments and got a very special experience of Copenhagen from the canals. It was both a beautiful introduction to the city and an elegant way to transport guests easily from one place to another. Guests were dropped off at SOHO House, where the welcome event is best described as elegant, modern and warm-hearted.

Beautiful Garden Wedding

The wedding day itself was held in the beautiful, idyllic and green surroundings of the Royal Garden Society in Frederiksberg – a place that so oozes Danish culture and elegance. To the sound of beautiful jazz tones, the wedding ceremony took place in the romantic garden, followed by an atmospheric cocktail hour in front of the Brøndsalen.

The dinner was served overlooking the garden, where the light fell softly through the large windows, and flower decorations in light pastel colors created a harmonious and dreamy atmosphere. The combination of Danish and American traditions made the evening personal, warm and full of presence – exactly as the couple wanted it. It was a day where cultural encounters, love and Copenhagen's special atmosphere merged beautifully.

The day after

The following day, there was no formal program, but instead the couple had arranged a relaxed day with their closest friends. They enjoyed the good weather, the city, and each other's company – a perfect way to round off an unforgettable weekend before the guests returned home.

Creating an international wedding in Copenhagen is something very special. The city offers both historical settings, modern elegance and a truly unique atmosphere – and for Nenagh & Harry, Copenhagen became the perfect setting for a celebration of love that felt both personal and authentic.
